How a grade works

Every grade in every track has the same shape, so the habit transfers when you switch variants.

  1. Read the unit

Three short lessons per unit, each with a worked hand, a named leak to avoid, and a drill you can run at the table tonight.

  2. Prove it on practice

A generated practice set per unit. Miss one and you get the reasoning, not just the answer.

  3. Pass the grade challenge

Mixed questions from the whole grade. 75% is the gate. Below that, the lessons are still doing work.

Free tools, no signup

The Labs run on the same Rust engine as the lessons: pot-odds pricing, hand-category evaluation, Omaha hi-lo splits with qualifier checks, and Monte-Carlo equity.

Questions

Is PokerGrad really free?

Yes. Every lesson, practice set and challenge is free, with no paywall and no trial. The site is funded by a single labelled sponsor link.

Which grade should I start at?

Kindergarten, in whichever variant you play. The grades are a difficulty ladder, not an age one — Kindergarten covers table mechanics and hand ranking, Grade 12 covers population-adjusted strategy.

Do I need an account?

No. You can read every lesson and take every quiz signed out. An account only exists to remember which skills you have reached proficiency on.

Does PokerGrad teach GTO solver output?

Where it helps. The ladder starts with pot odds and hand reading, and introduces equilibrium ideas once the fundamentals are automatic. Most grades focus on exploiting how real players actually deviate.

Which poker variants are covered?

Twenty tracks: NLH cash and tournaments, Limit Hold'em, PLO, PLO tournaments, PLO5, PLO6, Limit Omaha, PLO8 and Limit Omaha 8, 7-Card Stud, Razz, Stud Hi-Lo, 2-7 Triple Draw, Badugi, Short Deck, Pineapple, plus poker maths, bankroll and rules.

How is this different from watching poker videos?

Videos do not check whether the idea landed. Each PokerGrad unit ends in a scored practice set, and each grade ends in a 75% challenge gate. You climb when the folds are real, not when the video ends.
