Compute your share before calling

If you can only win low, and the low is often chopped, and high is dead, your share of the pot can be ~25% or less. A pot-sized bet needs ~33% of the final pot to break even if betting ends — so chopped-low-only calls are often trash.

Napkin before every big call: best case share, chop frequency, high dead?. If you can't estimate, you shouldn't call a pot for 'the low.'
