Pair damage control

'Pair damage control' (Razz, G5): Razz: high cards and pairs are bricks. Two bricks before fifth usually means fold to heat — pretty starts don't override dead boards.

Pairing mid-hand wrecks you. Stop chasing as if the pair didn't happen.
