Draw counts are the language
Players draw 0–5 cards each draw round. Pat (0) early often means a made strong low. Drawing 1 is common. Drawing 3+ is usually weak.
If two players stand pat and you still have a rough 9, you're often drawing dead-ish to win — fold more.
'Draw counts are the language' (2-7 triple draw, G0): Know what you're drawing to before you discard. Drawing to an 8-rough that loses to common 7s needs a reason.
