Holding the ace of the flush suit blocks the nut flush. That can increase bluff frequency in advanced play — and it also means your own non-nut flush is less likely to be good when you hit.
Grade 2 use: don't bluff-jam rivers as a beginner just because you 'have a blocker.' Do use blockers to avoid stacking second-nuts when the ace is likely out.
