Dealt five, play two

PLO5 deals five hole cards. At showdown you still must use exactly two hole cards with exactly three board cards — same as PLO4. Extra cards are equity and confusion, not a free 'use three.'

More hole cards → more wraps, more freerolls, more second-nut traps. Hand values inflate; nut discipline matters more, not less.

Practical count: five cards create many more two-card combinations than four. That is why 'I flopped a pair and a gutshot' shows up constantly — and why the player with the nut wrap still has you drawing thin.
