Odds meet equity

If pot odds say you need 20% and your flush draw is roughly 35% flop-to-river, continuing is fine on odds alone. If you need 40% and you only have 18%, fold — unless implied odds clearly change it (later grades).

Combine pot odds with implied odds (future money you can win) and reverse implied (future money you can lose when second-best). Beginners overcount implied and ignore reverse.
