Short Deck often uses a button ante (or multiple antes) instead of classic blinds. Everyone is in the pot more often — hand values for speculative cards change, and folding forever is expensive.

That does not mean 'play every hand.' It means tighten your understanding of pot odds preflop and steal more in position — not that J6o became premium.
