Bets get bigger

In limit Stud, fifth street often moves to bigger bets. Calling light on fourth then facing a big fifth is how 'pot odds' stories turn into donations.

Plan ahead on third/fourth: if you call now, can you call fifth? If not, fold earlier.

If you wouldn't call fifth, don't call fourth 'for one more card' unless the fourth price is tiny and fifth is likely to check through — which you shouldn't assume.
