Keep the smooth three

Priority: keep three different suits with smooth low ranks (A-2-3, A-2-4, A-2-5). Ditch pairs, ditch suited duplicates, ditch high paint that blocks a badugi.

If you start with two cards only clean, you may need to draw two. Drawing three is a last resort when the hand is trash but the pot odds somehow exist (rare for beginners — fold more pre).

'Keep the smooth three' (Badugi, G0): Keep smooth three-card Badugis (A-2-3 / A-2-4 rainbow) and draw one. Break pairs immediately. Don't keep a suited junk 'cover.'
