Information is open

Four of your opponents' cards will eventually be public if they stay to sixth. That is a huge information edge compared to hold'em — if you use it.

Example: you hold (A♠ A♥) K♦ and you're drawing toward aces up or trips. If you see both remaining aces appear in other players' upcards, your trip-ace draw is dead. In hold'em you'd still be hoping. In stud you know.

Dead cards also kill flush and straight draws. Count what's gone before you call big bets on fifth and sixth.
